Dover Court Preparatory School is registered with the Ministry of Education as an international preparatory school for the children of expatriates. Currently there are 900 students on roll encompassing some 57 different nationalities.
The aim of the school is to provide an education of the highest order that promotes maximum academic, social, spiritual and physical development and raises an aesthetic awareness, thus enabling all students to grow into individuals who are capable of living in and contributing to a social world.

Class Placement
We have found that chronological age is the best SINGLE criterion to use in class organisation. Experience has shown that a child placed with his peers tends to behave as they do, enjoys school, attends school more regularly, makes friends more easily, feels more comfortable and has therefore a greater chance of being successful in learning.
For these reasons all children are classed according to chronological age, with a September First cut-off point. There is NO streaming within the DCPS system. Each class has children of mixed ability. Class sizes are kept strictly to the economic minimum.

Conditions of Acceptance
- That the Ministry of Education and Department of Immigration agree to grant a student visa.
- That termly fees are paid in advance.
- That no less than a full term's written notice excluding school holiday periods is given in respect of withdrawal from the school. Fees in lieu are waived only under compassionate circumstances.
- That a child takes full part in all school activities unless medically exempted.
Admission Procedure
- Dover Court Preparatory School is an international school and there are no restrictions placed on admissions. Upon application for entry each student is interviewed and assessed for correct placement within the various departments of the school.
- If the student does not have the required standard of English, he or she will be placed within an E.S.L. class. When a predetermined level of language achievement is reached, transfer will be made to a mainstream class.
- If it is observed that the student is unable to function in a mainstream classroom due to some learning disability then further specialist testing will be carried out at the Centre for Supportive Education. Pupils with handicapping conditions, or those with a previous history of Special Education, can be admitted directly to the Centre. Further information is available from the Admissions Officer.
